PURPOSE:To obtain images free from unequal development with a high sensitivity in spite of a rapid development by spectrally sensitizing silver halide particles having >=5 (100)/(111) face ratio with a specific dyestuff and incorporating a fluoro-surfactant into one layer of a photosensitive material. CONSTITUTION:The silver halide particles having >=5 (100)/(111) face ratio are incorporated into emulsion layers and are spectrally sensitized by the dye stuff expressed by formula I. The fluoro-surfactant is incorporated into the emulsion layer or other hydrophilic colloidal layers. In the formula I, Z1, Z2 denote the nonmetal atom group necessary for perfecting a benzthiazole nucleus, naphthothiazole nucleus, etc.; R1, R2 denote a lower alkyl group or substd. lower alkyl group; X<-> denotes anion; n denotes 1 or 2 positive integer. The images which are excellent in the max. photogrhic density in spite of the rapid development and is free from the unequal development and develop ingstain are obtd. in this way.
