PURPOSE:To treat soybean in high efficiency without lowering the nutrient value of soybean by supplying a measured amount of raw soybean to a bucket of a bucket conveyor having a sufficient length and supplying water to the bucket. CONSTITUTION:Raw soybeans measured by a measuring and feeding part 30 are supplied to a bucket 23 of a bucket conveyor 20. About 3 pts.vol. (based on 1 pt.vol. of the soybean) of water is supplied to the bucket from a water- feeding part 40 and the soybeans are continuously transferred with the bucket over a sufficient period. The amount of soaking water is maintained to the optimum level and the lowering of the nutrient value can be prevented by this process. The treated soybean can be used as a raw material for a soybean food having good taste and high quality. |
