PURPOSE: To facilitate the carriage of a carton and gaining access to the carton contents by a method wherein a handle for beverage can carton in which a carrying handle is assembled can be manipulated to be lifted to an upright position from a flat stowed position. CONSTITUTION: A composite handle is held by a position-matched gripping hole to lift a carton to be carried and part of an upper lifting wall is formed leaving a handle panel H1 and other portions of a handle panel H2 in the predetermined position centering a fold line 'f' between upper and lower portions of the handle panel from the upper wall of the carton. To gain access to a security panel, a handle panel is separated from the adjacent inner end panel portions 26a and 28a and outer end panel portions 26b and 28b by breaking an easy-to-be-destroyed coupling portion comprising fold lines 30 and 30a. Thereafter, said handle panels are separated from each other. Thus the carton can be carried easily. |
