<p>The gasification aid is for a burner with wick, where liquid fuel is fed from a vessel below to a double-walled tapering annular mouthpiece. A flame is maintained by combustion air drawn in by chimney effect via the central passage in the mouthpiece and perforations in the housing wall enclosing the latter. The aid (19, 19a) has two or more tubular concentric gauze components (24, 24a; 26, 26a; 29), the innermost one extending in the central passage (11) in the mouthpiece (8), protruding above it at the top end. The outermost one has a cylindrical portion enclosing and clear of the mouthpiece, its top end being roughly at the same level as that of the innermost one.</p> |
