The slide piece (2) for a power transmission system, consists of a pref. metal tension belt (1) on which the slide pieces (2) are positioned behind each other. The slide pieces (2) have a crosswise support surface for the tension belt (1) and side contact surfaces touching cone pulleys (7,7'). The slide pieces (2) have support surfaces (4) in a vertical (8,8') and horizontal direction. Between the slide pieces (2), above and below the tension-belt (1) is a pref. tubular sectioned U-shaped bracket (12) whose arms (5,5') enclose the support surfaces (8,8'); the lower arm (5') rests on the slide-piece's (2) support edge (19). USE/ADVANTAGE - The slide pieces are firmly joined so that they can move sideways and turn.
