The dual control unit for hydraulic brakes has two control pistons (4,5), each serving separate brake circuits, and consisting of a ring piston (10,11) and inner piston (6,7), arranged between inlet (20,21) and outlet (14,15) chambers of the unit. Pressure transmission from inlet to outlet chambers is via the ring pistons (10,11) a lever arrangement (24,25,26,27) of variable lever lengths, a pressure piece (31), a fixed length arragement (33) and the inner pistons (6,7) in that order. Variable lever length is achieved preferably by ball-bearings (26,27) (fulcrum points) moving radially in tracks (29,30) on a support plate (28). USE - Dual control unit for vehicle brakes provides variable output pressure.
