The process input variables (I,t,Taccu, Tamb; U(t)) are measured and are processed in a computer. The specified model is arranged in the form of closed linear or non-linear multi-parametric functions and/or heuristic parametrised as an evaluation which represents the physical variables to be determined and their physical relationships to each other. The evaluation or evaluations are compared to the measured process input variables and for the subsequent measurement the model and/or the evaluation is adapted. The voltage measured with a charging or discharging operation (U(t)) is compared wtih the model output value (U'(t)) and the voltage different is monitored. USE/ADVANTAGE - Method and unit for determining physical variables of rechargeable electrical storages e.g. accumulators. Enables continuous, unambiguous monitoring of accumulator related to specific programme in computer.
