<p>PURPOSE:To improve profitability by using a part of gaseous methane discharged from a fermenter as the heating fuel, promoting fermentation by heating, producing an excess of gaseous methane over the necessary amt. for heating and using the excess methane in other uses. CONSTITUTION:The excreta to which acid producing bacteria and methanogen are added is charged into the closed fermenter 1 from a dung supply pipe 4. Heating is then started by the kerosene burner in a boiler 8, and hot water is circulated between the boiler and a cushion tank 9 by a pump 12. Hot water is then circulated between the cushion tank 9 and a heating coil 13 by a pump 16, hence the dung is heated to an optimum temp., and the generation of gaseous methane is promoted. When the generation is stabilized, the burner is stopped, and the gaseous methane is distributed to the burner of the boiler 8 and a gas engine 26 through a discharge pipe 6 and branch pipes 21 and 22. Accordingly, heating is continued by the gaseous methane, and power is generated from a generator 25 by the start of the engine 26 to improve the economy.</p> |
