1347824 Adjustable ear protectors EXEL OY 21 June, 1972 [21 June 1971] 29123/72 Heading A3V An ear protector comprises an earcup 1 adjustably connected to a headband spring 2 by an elongate member 3 which is formed at its upper end with oppositely directed slots in which the legs of the adjoining cleft end of the spring 2 are received and are longitudinally movable to provide an adjustment of the headband length, a stepwise setting of position being afforded by the engagement of pinshaped projections 2a on the spring legs. with serrations 4 on the groove bottoms, and the lower end of the member 3 is formed with a ball 3b received in a part spherical socket 1a on the earcup to allow rotation of the headband and adjustment of the inclination of the earcup relative to the headband, a sleeve 5 prevents the, ends of the spring legs from spreading. A plug 6 and spring steel washer 7 brace the ball 3b in position and seal the socket in a soundproof manner. |
