PURPOSE: To obtain an odor generating lamp without any danger in the view of a security by providing the lamp with an exchangeable solid insert which is endurable for the working degree of a lamp-envelope for generating a steam by the heat of a filament in a concave hollow portion. CONSTITUTION: The filament 10 of generating an incandescence is mounted in a glass lamp envelope 12 having a light permeability. The lead wire 14, 16 of the filament 10 is passed through a lamp stem 18 and connected to a base 20. A concave hollow portion 24 is formed in the opposite end of the base 20 of the lamp envelope 12, an odor generating insert 30 consisting of the formed polymer capable of impregnating a steam evaporative material is plugged in the concave hollow portion 24. When the lamp is lighted up and the temperature of the insert 30 is reaches a sufficient one, the vapor pressure of the odor component contained in the polymer is increased and the moving velocity of the odor particle passing through the polymer is caused to increase, and then the odor is emitted from the polymer. |
