PURPOSE:To present a cell with stable discharge performance, by additively applying charcoal powder to a positive pole active material and reducing a change of internal resistance of the cell while in use. CONSTITUTION:A mixture of mercury oxide and charcoal powder is pressurized, formed to a pellet state and closely attached under pressure in a cell case together with a positive pole ring to obtain a positive pole unit. Its compound ratio is such that 2-10pts.wt. charcoal powder per 100pts.wt. mercury oxide powder is mixed. A separator, electrolyte liquid material and a gel negative pole, consisting of a mixture from gelatinisation zinc powder and sodium salt of carboxyl methyl cellulose as an gelation agent, are successively arranged on the positive pole unit, and the cell case is sealed by a sealing plate and nylon gasket. Further a material, saturated with ZnO to 10mol concentration KOH, is used for an electrolyte. |
