METHOD FOR PROCESSING SYNTHETIC FIBER AND VEGETABLE FIBER WITH FIBROIN PROTEIN

PURPOSE:To impart excellent silky hand by adsorbing a solution prepared by mixing egg white with an acrylic resin on synthetic fiber yarn or vegetable fiber yarn, drying the adsorbed solution, then adsorbing, insolubilizing and adhering fibroin protein thereto. CONSTITUTION:A solution prepared by mixing egg white with an acrylic resin is adsorbed on synthetic fiber yarn or vegetable fiber yarn and dried. fibroin protein is then adsorbed thereon and the adsorbed egg white is subsequently insolubilized by steam setting. The adsorbed fibroin protein is then insolubilized with ethanol or an acid. Thereby, the above-mentioned protein and egg white are adhered to the aforementioned fiber yarn to impart strength of the synthetic fiber and silky hand thereto.
