PURPOSE: To keep the balance of a developer in a developing device by selecting the interval between developing rollers and their diameters so that planes in contact with the lowermost parts of respective developing rollers are made parallel to a horizontal plane. CONSTITUTION: This developing device is provided with a housing 44 forming a chamber for storing the developer to e supplied and at least two developing rollers 40 and 42 which are attached so that at least a part of the rollers 40 and 42 enter into the chamber of the housing 44 and carry the developer up to a belt 10 to develop an electrostatic latent image recorded on the belt 10. The respective developing rollers 40 and 42 are in close contact with the belt 10, are different from each other in diameter and arranged at intervals. The interval between the respective developing rollers 40 and 42 and their diameters are selected so that the planes in contact with the lowermost parts of the respective developing rollers 40 and 42 are made almost parallel to the horizontal plane. Thus, the balance of the developer in the developing device can be kept constant. |
