<p>Styrene polymers the stereoregularity of which is mainly syndiotactic are disclosed, having a repeating unit represented by the general formula (I): <CHEM> (wherein all symbols are as defined in the appended claims) and a degree of polymerization of not less than 5. These styrene polymers are much superior in heat resistance to conventional atactic styrene polymers because of their syndiotactic structure and also are excellent in chemical resistance. Thus they are useful in production of molded articles which are needed to have such high heat resistance and chemical resistance.</p>
