PURPOSE:To reduce air capacity required for cooling and to make a circulation blower compact by installing manifolds so that cooling air for a cell stack flows zigzag from the upper part to the lower part at every block through a pair of heat exchangers. CONSTITUTION:A pair of beat exchargers 2, 2' and a pair of manifolds 3, 3' which are the same height as that of the stack are mounted in airtightness onto the cooling air flowing surfaces on both sides of a cell stack 1 in order. One manifold 3 is divided into two in connection with blocks 11, 12. Divided manifolds 31, 32 constitute an inlet manifold and an outlet manifold, and connected with a pipeline 6 having a blower 4, aid further constitute a cooling air circulation passage L together with the other manifold 3' as shown in an arrow. The whole stack can be cooled with air capacity requrired for cooling on one block. |
