PURPOSE:To facilitate the installation work and significantly improve the ease of work by forming an indoor unit with an indoor unit body which is contained in the ceiling and a decorative panel having an air inlet and an outlet, and supporting the indoor unit body with the ceiling panel. CONSTITUTION:A decorative grill 2 having an air inlet 8 and an outlet 9 is fastened to the indoor unit body 1 with screws to form an indoor unit. A recessed area is formed in the underside of the casing of the body 1, to which a support plate 4 is fastened with a screw 10. After raising the body 1 into the ceiling through an opening in the ceiling panel 3, the support plates disposed at four locations are turned 90 deg. outwardly to set the support plates in the recessed areas. The body 1 then is lowered slightly to allow the ceiling panel 3 to support the support plates 4, which completes the preliminary installation of the indoor unit body. The screw 10 is then tightened to firmly fasten the support plate 4. An adjustment is made by horizontally moving the body 1 so that the clearance between the indoor unit body and the opening in the ceiling may be uniform. Finally, the decorative grill 2 is fastened to the body 1 from under with screws. |
