PURPOSE:To form a dense thermally-sprayed film having a smooth surface by melting the thermally-sprayed film by using laser light or converged light and solidifying the film again. CONSTITUTION:A powdery thermal-spraying material consisting of metals, ceramics, cement, etc., is put into a molten or nearly molten state by using a heat source, such as plasma, and is blown onto a base material such as steel plate, concrete or wood, etc., to form a thermally-sprayed film. The thermally- sprayed film obtd. in such a manner is melted by using a laser light or converged light and the thermally-sprayed film alone is localizingly heated and melted by changing the intensity, time, irradiation direction, and moving speed of the irradiation light or the combination thereof. The thermally-sprayed film alone is melted and is solidified again regardless of the kinds of the base material by this method and, therefore, the dense thermally-sprayed film having a smooth surface is formed. The waterproofness of the thermally-sprayed film is, therefore, improved, and the deterioration, failure or corrosion of the base material is prevented. |
