PURPOSE:To vary the size of a prismatic cylinder formed of respective reflecting mirror plates and to control the intensity distribution of laser beam which is outputted by moving the reflecting mirror plates so that one end surface slides on the mirror surface of an adjacent reflecting mirror. CONSTITUTION:A triangular columnar supporting part 11 is fitted at the center part of a reflecting mirror plate 7 and a rack part 15 as a spur gear is formed at the part corresponding to the slanting surface of the supporting part 11. When a cylinder container 1 is rotated as shown by an arrow A, gears 3, 4, 5, and 6 rotate a shown by an arrow B and the reflecting mirror plates 7, 8, 9, and 10 move in parallel. Therefore, the sectional shape of the prismatic cylinder formed of the respective reflecting mirror plates becomes large to increase the distance between the opposite mirror surfaces 8a and 10a. Consequently, the intensity distribution of an incident laser beam, the beam diameter, and the divergence angle can be varied. |
