PURPOSE: To facilitate connection to an electric power supply by providing a standard type shift rod housing with an X-Y shifting mechanism having a substantially same shift finger as that related to a manual control shift lever extended. CONSTITUTION: Normally a shifting mechanism housing 30 having a finger 20 is installed on a standard type shift rod housing receiving a shift lever tower mechanism. According to a shift rail select instruction signal and a speed change shift instruction signal, an electric motor 36 rotates a second shaft member 46, a cross member 48 screwed thereto moves a first bearing member 44 along a first shaft member 42, and the shift finger 20 is moved in the direction of X-X to be aligned with the rail. On the other hand, by another motor, the first bearing member 44 is rotated in the reverse rotating direction about the first shaft member 42 to move the shift finger 20 in the direction of Y-Y, thereby gear shifting. Thus, connection to the electric power supply can be facilitated without correcting the mechanism transmission mechanism. |
