PURPOSE: To reduce a manufacturing cost for an absorber assembly and to increase its reliability by allowing a holding cap or easing to include a corre sponding connection means of insert type and assigning the connection means in the radius direction of the casing, etc. CONSTITUTION: A tube-like casing 22 is provided, and at its end, a cap which suspends an absorber bar constructed of a neutron absorbing material 16 is fixed, and at the other end, an absorber bar is held in the casing 22, with a cap 24 where a flow channel orifice 25 is opened being fixed. The cap 24 and the casing 22 comprise a corresponding insert-type connection means 28, and the connection means is assigned in the radius direction of the casing 22, and, displacement and positioning of the cap 24 in the casing 22, with an axis line of the casing 22 as a center, permit mutual engagement, and a means which stops the cap 24 at the position to be engaged with the casing 22 is put to an engagement position after the connection means corresponding to the cap and the casing is engaged.
