PURPOSE:To reduce the executing time and the manhour of simulation by securing the connection of an in-circuit emulator in place of a real chip of a real chip mounting board and simplifying the change of a test-firm file of a simulation circuit. CONSTITUTION:When a RUN command is received from a keyboard 7, a host computer 1 takes the information necessary for a circuit to be simulated out of a software library file 3 and gives the control to a simulation engine 2. The engine 2 takes over the control from the computer 1 and performs the simulation based on the memory information on an in-circuit emulator 8 to display the emulation result on a display for confirmation. When a program is changed, the information on an internal memory of the emulator 8 is rewritten and the simulation is carried out again. As a result, the executing time and the manhour are reduced for simulation. |
