PURPOSE:To paint out a graphic at high speed by erasing apexes corresponding to peak and trough parts from a two-dimensional picture memory and afterwards, executing processing to thin out a line. CONSTITUTION:At first, it is investigated whether the respective apexes of closed and linear graphics A and B are corresponding to the peak and trough parts or not. The peak and trough parts are a point (peak) protruded in upper direction (direction perpendicular to a scanning line) in comparison with the back and forth apexes and a point (trough) protruded in lower direction among the apexes constituting the closed and linear graphics. The apexes decided to be corresponding to the peak and trough parts are erased from a two-dimen sional picture memory 1. Next, line thinning-out processing is applied to remain one significant picture element and to reload the other significant picture ele ment to non-significant picture element when more than two significant picture elements continuously exist on the same scanning line. Thus, the plural closed and linear graphics to be respectively independent can be simultaneously painted out and the processing time is shortened. |
