PURPOSE:To eliminate noise and to improve efficiency by disposing a frictional material at a moving unit, and bringing it into contact with the surface of a protrusion except both end faces. CONSTITUTION:An ultrasonic motor is composed of an annular vibrator 10 formed by adhering an annular elastic element 8 having a plurality of slits 7 to a piezoelectric element 9, and a moving unit formed by adhering an elastic element 12 to a frictional material 11. The material 11 is not brought into contact with both end faces of the inner and outer peripheries 14, 15 of the surface of the protrusion which form the slits 7, but is brought into contact with the surface except them. As a result, a uniform frictional contact state can be maintained. |
