PURPOSE: To install a tubular ferrule on a manufactured article by fitting the tubular ferrule to a rod-like drawing tool having a head of the diameter larger than the inside diameter of the tubular ferrule, passing it in a hole of the manufactured article, and achieving the pull-through by the tool. CONSTITUTION: A tubular ferrule 12 is mounted on a drawing tool 32, and the tool 32 is assembled with an apparatus 11. A frame 15 is moved, a mandrel head 36, and a fitting ring 12 are inserted in a hole 13 of a manufactured article, and an end part 21 of a boss 19 is brought into contact with a surface 22 of a manufactured article 14. A piston 24 is elevated, and the tool 32 is pulled upward through a housing 26. The fitting ring 12 forms a blind head 49 by the force of a nose piece 33 and a tapered surface 36. After the nose piece 33 is elevated by the piston 18, a pull cylinder 25 is further elevated, the mandrel head 36 is completely drawn from the hole in the fitting ring 12, and the fitting ring 12 is completely blind-fitted to the manufactured article 14. |
