<p>PURPOSE: To accurately dispose an electronic printhead assembly by engaging a positioning surface of a first feature unit with a positioning member by urging a frame in a predetermined direction, and engaging a second feature unit with a support of an image receiving member. CONSTITUTION: A printhead assembly 38 is mounted in a reproducer by inserting a structure into a housing of the apparatus of the type for introducing a pair of pins 112 into slots of a first feature unit 100 when a housing top is open end and a belt support assembly 52 is removed. Then, the pair of the pins 114 are respectively inserted into slots of a third feature unit 110, and a spring 116 is engaged with springs 82a, 84a. A spring 116 pushes end plates 82, 84. At the position, a surface 100a of the unit 100 is engaged with the pin 112, a surface 110a of the unit 110 is engaged with the pin 114. Thus, a printhead assembly can be easily accurately mounted in a reproducer 10.</p> |
