PURPOSE:To prevent toner from leaking to both ends in the axial direction of a developing roller by arranging a sealing body between the developing roller and a side plate which supports the roller and providing a low friction member having high abrasion resistance between the sealing body and the developing roller. CONSTITUTION:The sealing body 43 is arranged between the developing roller 26 and the side plate 42 which supports the roller 26 and the low friction member 44 having high abrasion resistance is provided between the sealing body 43 and the developing roller 26. Thus, the toner is prevented from passing over a sealed area S and entering between the developing roller 26 and the side plate 42 by means of the sealing body 43. Not only the increase of the torque of the developing roller 26 is prevented but also the breakage of the sealing body 43 is prevented by means of the low friction member 44.
