PURPOSE:To ensure ease of use when a pan with inferior thermal conduction because of its thick bottom is used as a cooking pan by recognizing abnormal heating with a second temperature detection means when the temperature of a pan rest rises earlier than that of an object being heated and setting the object being heated to a prescribed temperature with its temperature detected by a first temperature detection means. CONSTITUTION:The temperature of a second thermistor 11 when a comparator 2 generates an L-level signal is set to a temperature T3 which is higher than when a temperature probe P is not used. Thus, even if a pan with inferior thermal conductivity is used as a cooking pan 12 for the same TEMPURA cooking and the temperature of a pan rest S reaches T1 before the temperature of a thing being heated reaches T2, heating operation does not stop at that point. This helps to ensure prompt heating of a thing being heated to a set temperature T1. Even with a temperature adjusting mode established, if temperature detection with a first thermistor 13 is impossible because of failure to soak the probe P in oil in the pan 12, a thermistor 11 on the underside of the pan rest S is used for temperature detection to stop heating. |
