A method of manufacturing a hollow golf club comprising feeding a predetermined weight of reinforcing fibres from the screw (36) of an injection moulding system into a suitably shaped mould (30). After an initial portion of the thermoplastic has passed into the mould (30) a stream of a predetermined volume of nitrogen under pressure is introduced into the thermoplastic feed to urge the thermoplastic against the inner walls of the mould to form a hollow club. When the feed and stream into the mould have been completed, the mould is maintained under pressure for a period of time to allow the thermoplastic to set before the nitrogen is released. |
