<p>Machine, for treating pneumatic tyres, having worn out tread band and applying to the tyres a new pre-molded tread ring. The machine has an expansion self-centering chuck, provided with a valve for the inflation of the pneumatic tyre and peripheral beads for embracing the edges of the pneumatic tyre. A roller presses on the peripheral portion of the pneumatic tyre, disposed on the self-centering chuck, causing its rotation. An apparatus peels the worn out tread band, disposed on a side of the selfcentering chuck and is provided with a gouge the motion of which is defined by the profile of an interchangeable template. A device provides the finishing treatment of the rough peeled surface of the pneumatic tyre, this device being disposed on the opposite side of the peeling apparatus relative to the selfcentering chuck, and it includes brushes set in rotation by a motor, placed on a column, which may rotate so as to allow the contact of the said brushes with the rough peeled surface of the pneumatic tyre. Finally, an expanding unit, displaced on rails, is parallel to the axis thereof and includes at least three equi-spaced tread ring support arms, which provide for the expansion of the tread ring, each arm forming part of a respective parallelogram linkage, each arm being provided at their ends and on the two vertical surfaces with two horizontal rows of rollers projecting from the said arms.</p> |
