PURPOSE:To prevent the overheat without making the device large in size by providing a reflecting plate on the inside of a lamp housing for containing a light source, covering the outside with an outer cover, and placing them by separating them from each other. CONSTITUTION:In a lamp housing 72 of an ultraviolet irradiation device 12, a mercury lamp 31, a lens 37, a cold mirror 91, etc. are attached, and to the inner wall of the lamp housing, a reflecting plate 73 is fixed through a spacer, and the outside of the lamp housing is surrounded by an outer cover 71. Also, where lamp housing 72, reflecting plate 73 and outer cover 71 are placed by separating them from each other so that a part between them becomes an air passage. Therefore, air allowed to flow in by a fan cools the vicinity of the lamp and exhausted through an exhaust use opening 85, therefore, cooling is executed efficiently without making the device large in size and the overheat is prevented. |
