PURPOSE:To eliminate the reduction of attaching strength and facilitate attaching operation even if a ceiling joist is attached by forming an attaching space between the lower end of a bypass chamber installed at the outside of a mainbody casing and an attaching flange installed at the lower end of the casing. CONSTITUTION:At the front of the opening of each ventilating hole 10 in a mainbody casing 4 a bypass chamber 14 is removably installed outside and forms the bypass of an air supply passage going around a heat exchanger 3. An attaching space 15 is formed between the lower end of the chamber 14 and the upper face of an attaching flange 9 of the casing 4 and this space 15 has a size in a vertical direction to allow panel edges for attaching to lie. When a ventilator for an air conditioner is installed at the joists 16 of a ceiling, which are accommodated in the space 15 and do not touch the chamber 14. It is, therefore, easy to attach the ceiling joist and also the attaching strength is not lowered. |
