A process for removing a moulding, made from a plastic film or plate material, from a vacuum moulding machine, includes lifting the tensioning frame surrounding the sealing frame by 20-30 mm, after which the mould is further lowered. The machine comprises a table which supports the mould, a tensioning cylinder and a heating and suction unit. After the mould is further lowered, the moulding is removed and passed on to a transport unit. ADVANTAGE - The process is simple and reliable and has a reduced number of steps.
