The torque-absorber, especially for a vehicle drive shaft, has a hub (1) mounted on a shaft and which is concentrically surrounded by a rotating ring (2). The rotating ring (2) has an inward-protruding sliding rib (11) and/or the hub (19 has an outward-protruding rotating sliding ridge (17) either or both of which rests on the rotating ring (2) at a distance near a rubber spring arrangement (3). The rubber spring arrangement (3) joins the rotating ring (2) to the hub (1) and operates in a peripheral direction. The rubber spring arrangement (3) is less wide axially than the cylindrical outer peripheral surface (8) of the hub (1). USE/ADVANTAGE - Tumbler movements are prevented when the rotating ring's centre of gravity is laterally displaced to the neutral axis of the torsion spring.
