PURPOSE:To enable outputting a maintenance information, whether an image- forming apparatus is equipped with a controller or not, by converting a maintenance information housed in a nonvolatile memory into a symbolic code and by printing out said symbolic code. CONSTITUTION:When the output of a maintenance information is indicated, a converter means B reads said maintenance information housed in a nonvolatile memory A to convert said information into a predetermined symbolic code and the symbolic code information from said converter means B is sent to an image-forming part D by a maintenance information output means C and printed out. Therefore, the maintenance information can be outputted, whether said image-forming part is equipped with a controller or not. |
