The cladding profile (1) for a facade or roof contains glazing and/or sandwich plates. It forms part of the facade or roof with a mounting portion (2) inserted in a holder (10) and fixed in position. The holder is fixed to a support tube (14). The mounting portion is pref. integral with the cladding profile, or it can be formed by two elastic plates with with widened portions (3) engaging behind mating ones 11 insde the holdr.
