PURPOSE:To enable the thin layer of a photosensitive composition having a uniform and desirable film thickness to be obtained, by adding alginic acid glycol ester to an aromatic diazonium salt of a photosensitive component in preparation of the fluorescent screen of a color picture tube. CONSTITUTION:Thin layer 2 of a photosensitive composition containing an esp. stabilized aromatic diazonium salt and as an organic polymeric material, alginic acid glycol ester is coated on the inside face of panel 1 of a color picture tube and dried by infrared drying. The position of layer 2 to be coated with a green light emitting phosphor is irradiated by ultraviolet ray through a mask, and a substance capable of receiving the phosphor is produced by photolytic reaction of the diazonium salt. Then, the phosphor powder is scattered and attached to the light exposed part of layer 2. The other phosphor powder is removed by air spray, and green light emitting phosphor coat layer 3 is formed. Then, blue light emitting phosphor coat layer 4 and red light emitting phosphor coat layer 5 are formed in a similar manner. |
