PURPOSE:To reduce the size of hardware and to improve processing speed by dividing an original image into small area parts, deciding whether writing in an image memory is allowed or not in accordance with the state that the deformed image of each divided small area part is turned to the front face or the rear face and erasing a hidden surface. CONSTITUTION:Images existing on the right side (x>=0) of images 2D, 3D is a part displayed with the original image being turned to the front face, and a part positioned in the vicinity of a part, e.g. a point 6A on the original image, of a face turned the rear side out is hidden under the face turned to the front side and is not displayed as the result. In the case of executing perspective projection, the front face is displayed with priority and the rear face excluding only the face to which the front face is superposed is displayed. Consequently, a face closed to a visual point is displayed and hidden surface erasing can be simply executed. |
