<p>A conveyor belt scraper (11) of the type comprising at least one arm (19) pivotally mounted to a fixed structure (14) adjacent a movable conveyor belt (12), a scraper blade (18) secured to a free end of the arm (19) for contact with the belt (12) in use of the scraper (11), and resilient biasing means (20) for urging the arm (19) to turn about its pivotal connection to the fixed structure (14) whereby to press the scraper blade (18) into contact with the belt (12), in which the said resilient biasing means (20) include a plurality of resiliently compressible elements (37) stressed in compression when the arm (19) is turned in one direction about the said pivotal connection.</p> |
