The engine fuel mixture supply system incorporates a throttle butterfly and uses liquid hydrocarbon fuel. The supply of hydrocarbon fuel to the engine is reduced, and it is allowed to run so that a current of air flows to it. Liquefied petroleum gas is fed to the air current as a supplementary fuel in response to a preset minimum air flow rate, and is increased as the latter increases. Supply of the supplementary fuel can be so arranged that it only takes place when the depression in the air current reaches a preset value. The reduction in the liquid fuel supply can be between one-third and one-half. |
