PURPOSE:To obtain a thermoplastic resin composition improved in heat (distor tion) resistance and oil resistance and suited for blow molding by adding a polyphenylene ether, a specified copolymer and a rubberlike substance which form a dispersed phase to a polyamide which forms a continuous phase. CONSTITUTION:A copolymer (C) (e.g. styrene/maleic anhydride copolymer) is obtained by copolymerizing a styrene compound (a) with 1-40wt.% alpha,beta-unsat urated dicarboxylic acid anhydride (b). 20-70wt.% polyphenylene ether (A) [e.g. poly(2,6-dimethylphenylene-1,4-ether)], 25-70wt.% polyamide (B) (e.g. 6-nylon), 0.05-3wt.% component C and 0-30wt.% rubberlike substance (D) (e.g. styrene/ butadiene block copolymer) are mixed and melt-kneaded to obtain the title composition composed of a dispersed phase comprising components A, C and D and having a mean particle diameter of 0.1-3mum and a continuous phase comprising component B. |
