PURPOSE:To obtain the subject compound excellent in heat and chemical resistance by irradiating a polyarylene sulfide with light at a temperature above the glass transition point thereof. CONSTITUTION:The objective compound obtained by irradiating preferably a molded product of a polyarylene sulfide (preferably a film, fiber, fabric or particles) with light at a temperature above the glass transition point thereof, preferably in an oxygen-containing atmosphere. |
