A centrifugal separator for separating an oil/air mixture comprises an upright cylindrical housing with upper and lower outlets for air and oil respectively and a radially directed inlet 20 for the mixture in the housing wall 14. A baffle arrangement turns the incoming mixture to flow circumferentially round the housing and comprises vertical plates 26, 36 each having a bent portion 28, 38. Inner plate 26 abuts wall 14 at end 44, and outer plate 36 is spaced from wall 14 at both ends 32, 34. Inner plate 36 is joined to wall 14 by upper and lower horizontal plates 40, (42), while outer plate 26 is joined to wall 14 only by an upper horizontal plate 30, spaced above plate 40.
