Described is a device for selectively influencing the colour and direction of a white-light laser beam, in which the laser beam (W; W') is split into sub-beams (TR, TB, TG) of different colours and the intensity of each of the sub-beams controlled separately. The sub-beams are subsequently recombined to form a single beam (B) which is directed at a deflection device (14, 15). The device has electro-optical elements for independently controlling the intensity of each sub-beam.
