Any attempt at a break-in by applying pressure to the door or window equipped with this pressure-sensitive device leads to the activation of an alarm. The pressure-sensitive device consists of an impact arm mounted in a housing and guided by locating profiles to press against a spring. There is also another spring which can be adjusted to set a certain pressure on the arm and this pressure has to be overcome before the arm can be moved to activate the alarm switch.
