PURPOSE:To transfer salt in food to a warm water side and to remove the salt, by putting a salt-containing food in a bag made of a filtering membrane to permeate salt and immersing the bag in warm water at a specific temperature. CONSTITUTION:A salt-containing food 1 is hermetically sealed in a tube, etc. of a filtering membrane 2 to permeate salt, the tube is placed on a food supporting tool 5 in a water tank 4 charged with water 3 and an electric current is sent from an electrode 7 connected to an electric source 6 to water, a heating element. The temperature of water is kept at 20-52 deg.C and the tube is heated and immersed for a given time. A food such as soy sauce, MISO (fermented soybean paste), etc., can be readily and efficiently desalted without damaging taste, appearance, etc. |
