摘要 <p>PURPOSE:To recover waste gas as high purity CO or mixed gas of CO and H2 by packing carbon-containing material and reducing agent into a suction pipe inserted in furnace space and passing the waste gas in the furnace through the suction pipe. CONSTITUTION:The suction pipe 10 is descended in the furnace from furnace opening part of the furnace body 1 in all period of time or a part period of time of blowing in a converter. The carbon-containing material of coke or coal, etc., or the reducing agent of silicon or Al-containing material, etc., is packed into the suction pipe 10. CO gas dispersed from molten metal surface with this suction pipe 10 is caught just above the molten metal surface and directly sucked to execute gas recovery. By this method, the waste gas in the converter can be recovered as the high purity CO or the mixed gas of CO and H2.</p>
