<p>PURPOSE:To keep a strip under control of a prescribed flatness and plate crown by passing the strip through a stand having an actuator containing a pressure device, a bender and a roll coolant device. CONSTITUTION:The set value of the actuator other than the roll coolant device are determined so that the square sum of deviations between set values and measured values of the plate crown over the whole plate width is minimized within the tolerance of flatness. When the remainder of the plate crown is controlled by a roll coolant device divided in the direction of the plate width to feedback the plate crown, a plate crown of desired value can be obtained without accompanying defects in the plate flatness.</p> |
