摘要 The automatic transmission uses a control of the torque during the gearchange to minimise the torque shocks. The motor torque is varied as the speeds of the different parts of the transmission change and depending on where the transmission is in the gearchange. The system detects the start and finish of the gearchange action to define the control region. The control is via a programmed control, partly through an iterative process. The torque can be temporarily adjusted by a variation of the engine timing. The control is modulated w.r.t. throttle setting, with the control inhibited if the throttle setting alters during gearchange. This enables the driver to have complete control, e.g. during braking or sudden acceleration. ADVANTAGE - Improved comfort, less damage to transmission.
