The device produces a connection between two facing pipe ends. It comprises a sealing seal (6) which can be pushed onto both pipe ends (1,2) and connected therewith so that it forms a gas-conveying bridge between the two pipes but is sealed from the outside. The sleeve can have associated tension belts (4) which sealingly hold the sleeve against the relevant pipe end. USE/ADVANTAGE - Safe reliable connection between the pipes.
