PURPOSE:To provide a flame-retardant polyester resin composition for injection molding, containing a halogen-base flame-retardant, an antimony compound, a nylon-66 resin, a polyethylene resin and glass fiber and having excellent heat- deformation temperature, mechanical strength, etc. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is composed of (A) 100 pts.wt. of a thermoplastic polyester resin, preferably a polyethylene terephthalate resin, etc., having an intrinsic viscosity of 0.4-0.7, (B) 5-30 pts.wt. of a halogen-base flame-retardant (e.g. brominated polystyrene), (C) 2-10 pts.wt. of an antimony compound (e.g. antimony trioxide), (D) 15-30 pts.wt. of a nylon-66 resin having a molecular weight of preferably 15,000-25,000, (E) 4-20 pts.wt. of a polyethylene resin having a melt index of preferably 5-20 (the weight ratio of D/E is 1-4) and (F) 20-120 pts.wt. (based on 100 pts. of the sum of A to E) of glass fiber having a fiber length of 1-12mm and fiber diameter of 5-15mum. |
